Women’s Volleyball Team Wins ECVA Gold Medal
After a superb showing throughout the tournament, the Bermuda women’s volleyball team have won the gold medal at the 2026 Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association [ECVA] Championships.
Playing in the finals this evening, they defeated Antigua and Barbuda 3-1 [25-23, 27-25, 21-25, 25-20] to claim the championship title.
The victory completes an unbeaten tournament for Bermuda, who defeated St Lucia, Dominica and Anguilla before recording a 3-1 semifinal victory over hosts British Virgin Islands to advance to the gold medal match, which was held this evening in Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
The Bermuda men’s volleyball team also competed in this tournament, and also made a strong showing. finishing in fourth place.
