Iberia Flight Diverts For Medical Emergency

Iberia Airlines flight 6621 made a medical diversion today [July 25] after a passenger fell ill, landing at Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport shortly before 8.00pm.

Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service and airport officials met the plane at the main terminal where the sick passenger was transferred to an ambulance and transported to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Iberia Airlines flight 6621 was on its way from Barajas International Airport in Madrid, Spain to Jose Marti International Airport in Havana, Cuba.

    Either Ministry Of Tourism or the BTA – Do we ever try to pitch these airlines that get diverted to here? I mean why do we only have a handful of Airlines a week when statistically Airline travelers spend more money than Cruise Ship passengers. (However I will admit Super Yachts generate more than both of them combined if here on a consistent basis).

    I’m the daughter of the passenger that was feeling bad, now she’s better, we are very grateful for the medical staff and the care that my mother is receiving. She had a brain stroke and thanks to the landing it was possible to act fast
