Man Denies Unlawfully Employing Man At Garage

A 51 year old man appeared in Magistrates Court this morning [Apr 9], where he denied charges alleging he illegally employed a Jamaican national.

Ricky Johnson pleaded not guilty to unlawfully employing Owen Morrison on 18th March 2014, at Ricky’s Auto Garage in Wellbottom, Southampton.

Mr Morrison had earlier pleaded not guilty to working without a permit on 18th March but appears to have left the island prior to his scheduled trial on 31st March.

Senior Magistrate Archie Warner granted Mr Johnson $2,000 bail and set trial for July 2014.
