Premier To Attend Meeting In Turks and Caicos
Premier Michael Dunkley will be in the Turks and Caicos Islands this week for the UK Overseas Territories [OT] Heads of Government Pre-Joint Ministerial Council Meeting.
A Government spokesperson said, “Held annually, this week’s meeting takes place from July 20 – 21. The meetings are being hosted by Dr. the Hon. Rufus Ewing, Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
“A specific area of discussion for the meeting will centre around the British referendum, its exit from the European Union and its effect on the overseas territories. Also at this week’s meeting, Premier Dunkley will lead a panel discussion on topics that include sustainable economic development, opportunities and challenges for small economies and infrastructure development.
“The Turks and Caicos meetings are a precursor to the upcoming Overseas Territories Joint Ministerial Council meetings which will be hosted by the UK Government in October.
“The Premier, who returns to the Island on Friday, will be accompanied by the Secretary to the Cabinet, Dr. Derrick Binns and Kimberley Durrant, UK Representative and Director of the London Office.”
Britains exit from the European bla bla bla.
Stay home dunk.
Send a PLP member to sit in.
Shalom.
Let this man NOT attend alone.
Hasn’t he done enough grave injustices to the Bermudian people???
What if he does not report back to Bermuda, the truth??
Isn’t the man’s track record, since coming into power in 2012, enough to NOT have him attend that meeting on his own?
Care to elaborate?
Observer has got to be kidding. I cannot think of anyone more qualified to represent his fellow Bermudians than Premier Dunkley. As for the track record of our present Premier compared with those of the recent past, he’s without doubt the best pick of the bunch – by far – and he is guaranteed to report back to Bermuda honestly and succinctly.
guys drunk… ignore….
..could be worse – he could have gone off to the Playboy mansion with his family on taxpayers dime.
