Video: Sunday August 13th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that Zyon Minors earned the Polaris Education Award, Amarriah Vaughns and her grandmother Andrea McKey competed at the US Capitol Classic martial arts event in Maryland, Kaliyah Lee-Tucker was awarded the ‘Carey Olsen Investing in People’ scholarship for 2023, and Nahki Wells scored for Bristol City were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Linnell Williams made history as the first female match referee in the annual Cup Match Classic, Delray Rawlins won the 2023 Cup Match Safe Hands Award, Dage Minors, Caitlin Conyers, Conor White, Madelyn Moore, and Emma Harvey received cheques from the Government following their medal winning performances at the recent CAC Games, and the Bermuda Sanshou team enjoyed an impressive medal haul.
Other good news stories included Ponaflex releasing a music video for his single ‘Best Time,’ ABIC awarding scholarships to 22 students, Bermuda being named on the ‘most beautiful people born’ list, and Bermudian brothers Nicholas Christopher and Jonathan Christopher being interviewed on New York Live.
