Sunday June 7th: “Good News” Spotlight

News that America’s Cup team Artemis Racing is moving to Morgan’s Point, the opening of the new ‘Snowball Shack’ on Palmetto Road, Bermuda being featured in Triathlete Magazine’s swimsuit issue, the Hamilton Princess opening its new beach club, and Bermudian student Hannah Smith winning a U.S. poetry contest were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.

On a sporting note, Allan Douglas Jr and Christopher Douglas were named Logic cricket Players of the Week, footballer Djair Parfitt-Williams signed a professional contract with West Ham United, the Bermuda Pacers Club athletes returned home from Florida with medals, and footballer Dante Leverock was featured on a U.S. news broadcast.

In addition we posted various community photo galleries, including Harbour Nights on Front Street, Middle School Expo, Tokio Triathlon, the new ‘Casa Bacardi’ store, KPMG clean-up, fitted dinghy races, baseball, a trio of super-yachts and more.
