Sunday September 18th: “Good News” Spotlight

News that legendary Bermudian actor Earl Cameron will be inducted into the UK’s first black film and television Hall of Fame, Flora Duffy claimed the ITU World Champion Title after an outstanding season, and companies competed for charity at the eighth annual ‘Give Back Games’ were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.

Other good news stories included cricketer Delray Rawlins hitting a century for Sussex, Bermuda’s Willie Clemons being named NAC Soccer Player of the Week, a marriage proposal being spelled out on an island beach, BF&M and Argus donating $250,000 each toward radiation therapy in Bermuda, and Curt Selley completing arboricultural training in Wales.

In additional good news, a North Carolina school hired Olympian Roy-Allan Burch as its swimming coach, Shaun Goater as highlighted for his “Goal of the Day”, Modblu Boutique is preparing to host its grand opening, Sia Spence released a new single entitled ‘Loving You’, and the Chewstick Culture Hub Fire Relief Fund received $2,000 from a recent fundraiser.
