News that Nisha Smith was awarded the 2021 Deloitte Scholarship, Christopher Joell-Deshields is serving as Executive Director of Pride in London, Richard and Rebecca Wilson donated $2,500 to nurses to express thanks, and the National Dance Company Wales appointed Bermudian Krystal Lowe to their board were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.

In additional good news, the Raleigh Alumni Relief Team organised a Giving Day, the U.S. CDC improved Bermuda’s ranking to ‘Level 2′, seven people graduated from the MEF Trainee Programme, and George Fubler and Stevon Trott completed the BELCO Apprenticeship Programme.

Other good news stories included Cactus Ltd. launching a mobile app, BHB and Bermuda Blood Donor Centre thanking Hamilton Princess for their support in encouraging more blood and apheresis donors in Bermuda, Harbour swimmer Sam Williamson recording six personal bests in Glasgow, and One Communications employees taking part in the Relay For Life event, raising $6,000,

Additional good news stories included Dara Alizadeh winning the Metropolitan Regatta Open Single Sculls A Final, Kaelyn Kastle being featured in the documentary ‘Who Gets To Be An Influencer?,’ $450,000 granted for BIOS fish biodiversity research, Louise Wells winning the Kona 70.3 Age Group, and Djair Parfitt-Williams scoring in a Fylkir draw.
