Video: Sunday June 6th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that Shiona Turini will be a guest judge on Amazon’s “Making The Cut” series, the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority appointed Kyle James as Business Development Manager, Bermudian boxers were highlighted in an Olympic documentary, and student Isis Tucker teamed up with Keep Bermuda Beautiful to launch a cleanup effort were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, St. Regis Resort is offering employment opportunities, Waterstart and Saltus announced the Sustainable Islands Program, BDADay.com was updated with 600+ photos and five hours of video, Mark ‘Sybil Barrington‘ Anderson was featured in Forever With Pride magazine, Caitlyn Bobb won an 800m race and helped her team win a relay, the Heritage Month Mini-Float Challenge winners were announced, and Aspen donated $20,000 to the Back to Business Community Giveaway.
Other good news stories included baseball player Adam Hall and his Aberdeen IronBirds picking up a win, the Bermuda Championship donating $20,000 to the Bermuda Golf Association, Bermuda Commercial Bank donating to charities, Tracey Pitt being selected for the ICC Future Leaders Programme, golf lessons for concierge and front desk workers, Clocktower Mall reopening today, and Nirobi Smith-Mills winning the Millfield PB Classic 800m.
