Video: Sunday May 28th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that the island celebrated Bermuda Day, 9-year-old Russian Thompson won a dance contest in England, and Horseshoe Bay was named as one of the world’s best beaches were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, an Appreciation Tea held for foster parents, Kole Hall has signed a new contract with Chester, Minister Tinee Furbert applauded the efforts of Salvation Army in bringing the ‘Come to the Well’ programme to fruition, CariGenetics held their first school tour and Jessica Lewis finished second in the T53 Women’s 200m in Switzerland.
Other good news stories included Aunde Russell Todd winning the Manager’s Player of the Year award at Sandhurst Town FC, Christian Ebbin helping St. George’s School win the National Invitational Tournament Founders Trophy in the U.S. and the Department of Parks Ag Show Team winning the April Public Service Excellence Award.
