Bermudian baseball player Adam Hall helped the Winnipeg Goldeyes secure an 8-2 victory over the Chicago Dogs in a rain-shortened game at Impact Field.

The American Association of Professional Baseball matchup was officially called off ahead of the bottom of the seventh inning following a 30-minute weather delay due to deteriorating conditions.

The Goldeyes opened the scoring in the top of the first inning when center fielder Noah Marcelo singled up the middle to drive in shortstop Ray-Patrick Didder. Chicago responded in the bottom of the frame with a lead-off home run to center field by Giovanni DiGiacomo, tying the game 1-1.

Winnipeg broke the tie in the third inning. With two outs, first baseman Roby Enríquez hit a single to left field, driving in both Hall and left fielder Jiandido Tromp to establish a 3-1 lead.

The Goldeyes extended their advantage in the fifth inning when Keshawn Lynch singled to drive in Tromp, making the score 4-1. Tromp finished the day with two hits and three runs scored.

Chicago reduced the deficit to 4-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning via an RBI single to left field by designated hitter Aaron Altherr.

Winnipeg answered with a four-run top of the seventh inning. Tromp scored his third run of the day on a sacrifice fly by Lynch, and Didder followed with a three-run home run to left field, his seventh of the season, to extend the lead to 8-2.
