Car Crashes Up Embankment On South Road
[Updated] Emergency services responded to a collision tonight [Feb 3] that occurred on South Road near the junction with Camp Road, that appears to have involved a car which went up on a roadside embankment until it came to a rest against a bus shelter.
The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service, police and an ambulance attended. We unofficially understand the ambulance service was not required. Further details are limited at this time, however we will update as able.
Update February 5, 9.40am: A police spokesperson said, “Around 11:20pm Saturday, February 3rd police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle car crash on South Road in Warwick, near the junction with Camp Road.
“It appears that the car involved struck a bus stop shelter. The driver, believed to be a 39 year old Sandys parish man, apparently sustained minor injuries.
“He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, treated and discharged.
“There were no other injuries reported. The damaged car had to be towed from the scene.
“Any witnesses are asked to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
