Video: Sunday August 7th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that Jah-Nhai Perinchief won a bronze in the triple jump at the Commonwealth Games, Town Crier Ed Christopher earned multiple awards at a town crier competitions in the UK, Zen Marley Mello won the Department of Culture’s 2022 Emancipation Youth Creativity Competition, and Yushae DeSilva-Andrade and Omar Hayward won bronze medals at the World Boccia event in the Netherlands were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, the Bermuda Under 15 Girls Football Team defeated Belize 1-0 and Anguilla 3-0, Willie Clemons signed with Braintree Town FC, Armani Brandy and Micah Richardson earned scholarships, Bermuda’s tennis team claimed multiple international wins, and five young men competed in the Alpha Beautillion.
Other good news stories included camp retreats aiming to inspire youth, Remy Coddington scored in a West Ham U19 win, Zeiko Lewis scored in a Sacramento victory and Bermuda had a great showing at Commonwealth Games.
