Video: Sunday Oct 22nd “Good News” Spotlight
News that Bermuda won eight medals at the Caribbean Road Cycling Championships in Guadeloupe, the Leopards Club donated to Centre Against Abuse, the BF&M Breast Cancer Awareness Walk was held, ‘Dink For Pink’ raised $11,670 for PALS, and Najiyah Chowdhury was named in the Heroes Women Role Model Top 100 List were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Bermuda footballers Joshua Joseph, Stefan Simmons, Tre Burgess, and Shane Robinson helped Thomas College to a win, Jack Harvey won a 100m event to help Penn State win a meet, Bermuda’s PanAm flag bearers were announced, and Sydney Fischer and her Blair team defeated Pennington.
Other good news stories included Team Public Service earning a PSEA Award for September, Bermudian author and illustrator Elizabeth Mulderig has created an interactive exhibit called Bermuda Wonderland, Musician Chef B is cooking up a musical treat, Bernews’ Wallpaper Wednesday series featured a lipstick-themed Bermuda flag and Flora Of Bermuda placed fourth at Newmarket.
