Video: Sunday July 14th “Good News” Spotlight
News that the Bermuda Paralympic Association announced Bermuda’s team for the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, with Yushae DeSilva Andrade and Jessica Lewis set to represent Bermuda, CariGenetics earned the ‘Best in Show’ award at the MedTech Investing Europe Forum in London, and Xienne Burch and Imani Bean earned PwC Bermuda scholarships were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, four families graduated from the Transformational Living Centre programme, the Department of Marine and Ports Services and marine first responders completed a training course in search and rescue, and the Mirrors Programme honoured volunteers and artists.
Other good news stories included Elijah Daley breaking three records at the 2024 Summer Ontario Swimming Championships at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre, BermudAir praising the first group of participants in the company’s inaugural Summer Student Programme, and five students – Meleina Brock, Owen Figureido, Kayla Caldwell, Taylor Crichlow, and Imani Bell – earning Conyers’ 2024 Legal Education Awards.
