News that three Bermudian athletes – Madelyn Moore, Sakari Famous and Caitlyn Bobb – won gold medals in record setting style, Safia Gardener was called to the Bermuda Bar, Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre is offering a new treatment option for certain cancers, and members of the Bermuda National Athletics Association won medals in Florida were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Madelyn Moore was named WAC Swimmer of the Year, Jacob Madeiros scored in a May River victory, Nahki Wells scored twice in a Bristol U23 win, the Pembroke Rotary Club raffle is offering big prizes, Detective Chief Inspector Sherwin Joseph and Detective Chief Inspector Peter Stableford completed the SIO course, Casey Truran won his class at an IHSA event in Florida, and Tyler Christopher won his third professional fight.
