Video: Sunday Sept 22nd “Good News” Spotlight
News that Northshore Medical awarded Toya Anderson a $40,000 scholarship to pursue a nursing degree, Dage Minors won the Three Brooks Parkrun in the UK, Ryan Outerbridge won the 8k at the Pop Crowell Invitational in Massachusetts, and Djair Parfitt signed with the Glentoran Football Club in Northern Ireland were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Stephen Dickinson won the Burghfield Sailing Club Streaker Class Open Regatta, Kimoy Cruickshank appeared on Jamaica’s popular morning show CVM Sunrise, Peter Silvester kept a clean sheet in Connecticut College’s 0-0 draw away to Tufts University, Sebastian Kempe secured his place to study yacht design and production at Solent University in Southampton, Scott Barnes finished runner-up in the Rok class in his maiden Stars Championship Series, and Jeon Wolfe reflected on his 10-goal performance.
Other good news stories included Somers Smith receiving a top award from Suzuki, Jodi Covington being named as one of America’s top 100 small businesses on the CO—100 list, Jamai Gomes earning the PSEA award for August, and Solstice earning the OUTBermuda Icon Award.
