Video: Sunday July 30th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that Flora Duffy claimed her fourth consecutive victory, a loggerhead turtle was released after rehabilitation, Marsh and Guy Carpenter donated $5,000 to WindReach, Lusher performed with Chance the Rapper, and BizCamp students visited the Hub Culture Village were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, a book entitled “Trail of Our People: Trail Blazers” launched, X20 Adventures Waterpark opened in West End and Dockyard winning a ‘Top Cruise Destination’ award.
Other good news stories included a visitor to the island paying a visit to the Royal Bermuda Regiment’s Warwick Camp, students achieving a record breaking year in Advanced Placement exam results, Neletha Butterfield attending the PNP Women’s Movement Conference in Jamaica, and Michael Burns winning a Lifetime Achievement Award.
We also posted various community photo galleries, including coverage of National Criterium Cycling, the Cricket Eastern County Cup, power boating at Ferry Reach, and the Future Leaders Programme.
