News that students from Whitney Institute created a Bermuda Fitted Dinghy, Dage Minors and Catherine Riihiluoma were awarded the Butterfield Cup, CariGenetics earned Service Lab Certification, BermudAir announced its expansion to Baltimore and Orlando, and actress Tsilala Brock will be making her official Broadway debut were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, the Bermuda Philharmonic Society held a student competition, youth sailor Matteo Cervino won in Italy, Thomas Cechini emerged victorious in the 200 meter freestyle event, athletes from OpenMat delivered an outstanding performance in Toronto, winning a total of 11 medals, and there were plenty of goals scored by the island’s footballers with Eva Frazzoni scoring for Sudbury in The Cup, Aaliyah Nolan scoring in Bradford’s win, and Kenni Thompson scoring for Bournemouth.
