Video: Sunday Oct 31st ‘Good News’ Spotlight
While this week overall was very tragic in Bermuda, there were still positive things happening, including Zantae Dill and Kaisha Wilson being called to the Bermuda Bar, Madelyn Moore winning the WAC Swimmer of the Week award again, Bermuda’s international business community donating $281,000 for antigen Covid tests for public school students, and Bermuda’s five golfers in action at the Butterfield Bermuda Championships.
In additional good news, Justin Donawa scored in a Solihull Moors victory, Kayla Bardgett won the ESP Fall II Class in Florida, Nia Christopher scored her 13th goal of the season, D’Andre Wainwright scored in a Redcar Athletic victory, and the Flora Gold rum auction raised $18,090 for the Flora Fund, which supports aspiring Bermudian athletes.
Other good news stories included Zyon Robinson receiving the Dr. Joanne Barbara Pratt Bursary Award, BILTIR helping to clean up the Railway Trail, a sand sculpture being created in celebration of the Garden Club’s 100th anniversary, and MyLondon highlighting the late Bermudian actor Earl Cameron as part of their Black History Month series.
