Sunday February 12th: “Good News” Spotlight
News that Bristol City FC signed Osagi Bascome, Bermuda was featured in the Bergdorf Goodman Spring Magazine, actor Michael Douglas said the America’s Cup in Bermuda will be a “spectacular event,” and Jill Husbands, Lawrence Michael Murphy, and Patrick Tannock were inducted into the Company of Honorary Fellows were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In other good news, the Carnival Horizon cruise ship will visit Bermuda in 2018, Open Airways launched their new ‘Azmobile’, Land Rover BAR launched its America’s Cup race boat, WestJet Magazine highlighted Bermuda cuisine, and Alshante Foggo painted a mural at Dellwood Middle School.
Other good news stories included singing telegrams being available for Valentines Day, Judah Chapman scoring in the AFC Wimbledon Under 21 draw, Bermuda Cricket Board President Lloyd Fray congratulating Emmerson Carrington on officiating in Argentina, and the release of a Gombey colouring book.
