Video: Sunday April 17th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
This week was an excellent week for the island, with multiple sporting wins and other good news happening, including the Bermuda women’s football team winning 6-0, the Bermuda women’s hockey team winning two games, 10 students from Bermuda schools earning scholarships to study in France, Caitlyn Bobb winning a Carifta medal, and Olympic swimmer Roy-Allan Burch being inducted into Springfield College’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
In additional good news, Rockal Evans won the Sail Port Stephens in Australia, BHB’s Primary Stroke Centre received the Stroke Distinction Award from Accreditation Canada, Caitlyn Bobb and Sakari Famous set new records, Antione Hunt was named the overall winner of the Charman Prize, and Sheridan Ming earned the Public Service Excellence Award for March.
Other good news stories included Caitlyn Bobb being named Female Track Performer of the Week and Nicole Stovell and Sebastian Kempe remaining leaders of their fleets in the RYA Youth Nationals in England.
