Video: Sunday May 21st ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that the Today show showcased the island to millions of people during broadcasts from Bermuda, more than 130 students graduated from Bermuda College, and the British Travel Programme will feature culinary arts students were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, a local cyclist rode 250 miles for a good cause, Devwah Whaley was named Arkansas Male Rookie of Year, and Mitchell Campbell was named Golf Player of Year.
Other good news stories included Kinezumi Water Sports adding jet ski tours and banana boat rides to its offerings, 70 athletes will represent Bermuda in Gotland, an insurer pledged $50,000 for an inclusive playground, Axis donated $10,000 to the BSMART Programme, and students participated in the ‘Read to Feed’ endeavour.
We also posted various community photo galleries, including coverage of the Bermuda College Graduation, Basketball Elite City League action, the Bermuda College Nursing Pinning Ceremony, the Bermuda Cricket Board Twenty20 cricket games, YAO Baseball League action, and youth rugby players winning in Bahamas.
